We design standards-based conversation lesson according to your needs / interests. For your reference we have outlined the standards for the daily conversation program at the beginners level.
Eligibility This corse is for those who have not studied Japanese or have studied a little in the past but do not remember much.

1. INTRODUCTIONS
Objectives

By the end of Lesson 1, students are able to
- exchange basic greetings.
- pronounce her/his names in Japanese using the pattern [-wa-desu].
- introduce himself / herself and others in a business or general context
- introduce himself / herself.
- introduce someone to a third party.
- introduce family members to a third party.
- ask people for their names and about their work.

- discuss the etiquette in the custom of exchanging business cards.


2. ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 2, students are able to
- recognize numbers from 0 to 20.
- ask for and give telephone numbers.
- exchange business cards.

3. DAY AND TIME
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 3, students are able to
- ask for and tell the time.

- recognize days of the week.
- recognize dates.
- recognize names of the months.


4 HOW MUCH?
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 4, students are able to
- ask about the prices of objects and understand the responses.
- recognize the indicators this, that.
- recognize very large numbers as well as fractions and decimals.

5 COUNTING OBJECTS
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 5, students are able to
- count objects, and be familiar with the use of counters.
- recognize the Japanese numerical systems (hitotsu, futatsu).
- recognize further aspects of the demonstrative/indicative (ko-so-a-do)
words.
- ask for a number of items.
- recognize some adjectives, including colors.

6 GOING AND COMING
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 6, students are able to
- talk about what she/he does, when, and with whom.
- use several fundamental particles appropriately.

7 GOING BY TAXI
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 7, students are able to
- talk about the time involved in traveling and various methods of transportation.
- employ the basic phrases and expressions used when visiting or entertaining visitors.
- maintain brief social conversations.

8 EXISTENCE OF PEOPLE AND THINGS
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 8, students are able to
- describe the existence of people (using ARIMASU) and things (using IMASU ·).
- use words describing location.

9 Place, Location
Objectives
By the end of Lesson 9, students are able to
- ask about the location of people or objects.
- answer such queries.

- talk about the basic everyday activities of life.
